Hometown Heroes Lamppost Banners

In response to community interest, the City of Fairborn launched a Hometown Heroes banner program to honor local veterans with custom lamppost banners displayed throughout the city. I developed four original banner concepts and presented them to the City Manager and Assistant City Manager for review and selection. Once the final design was approved, residents were invited to submit photographs of family members they wished to recognize. I carefully restored and enhanced each submitted image in Adobe Photoshop before incorporating it into the final banner layout, ensuring every veteran was represented with a polished, respectful, and consistent design. The completed banners now serve as a lasting tribute to Fairborn's veterans while strengthening the city's connection to its community and military heritage.
